How to Share a Keynote to iWeb
Keynote, like its competitor PowerPoint, has powerful capabilities with which to create a variety of graphic-rich slide presentations. An effective way to share a Keynote presentation is to export it to iWeb, Apple’s user-friendly template-based website builder. Both iWeb and Keynote are Apple products that work cohesively to distribute digital information. iWeb users can then publish the completed website to an Apple-based.
Create your Keynote presentation and save your edits until you are satisfied with the final slide presentation.
Select “Share” from the main menu, scroll to “Send To,” then select “iWeb” from the sub-menu.
Select the “File Type” pull-down menu to select your format. You can choose from among “Video Podcast,” “PDF” or “Keynote.”
Enter a value in the “Slide Duration” text field, then enter a value in the “Build Duration” if “Video Podcast” format is selected, and click “Send.” Select “Slides,” “Image Quality” and other export options if “PDF” is selected; select “Send” after making your choices. Alternatively, select “Send” after choosing “Keynote Document” from the pull-down menu. Sending your format automatically opens iWeb as the active application.
Sign in to your MobileMe account to publish your Keynote presentation to iWeb.
Select a template design from the “Themes” pull-down menu and click “Choose.” The Keynote presentation icon is displayed on the page as a download for users to open after accessing your published iWeb page.
Customize the page with fonts, colors, backgrounds, shapes or graphics. The icon of the Keynote presentation remains unaffected by changes to the iWeb page.
Select “Publish Entire Site” from the “File” menu and select “Continue” to verify that your materials are not copyrighted, or that you have obtained permission to use the material.
Step 9Publish the iWeb site, or select other publishing options, such as another domain or a different ISP.
